Anthropologie isn’t a brand, it’s a lifestyle. The brand focuses on five styles of women: boho chic, delicate, cool, modern, and classic. Dick Hayne, chairman of URBN, founded the label after a friend told him that she was growing out of Urban Outfitters (his other brand) and needed more shopping options. Hayne realized that she wasn’t alone; thus, Anthro was built to cater to the affluent, creative woman. The lifestyle brand offers everything from apparel and accessories to home decor and gifts.
